Radford City Schools (RCPS) serves approximately 3,200 students across four schools. The district operates independently from Montgomery County and is overseen by a five-member elected school board.

Family Resources

Parent Education Resource Center (PERC)

Located at McHarg Elementary. Offers support for all families, especially those with students with special needs. Provides guidance on special education, connects families to community resources, and maintains a lending library of educational materials.

Hours: Virtual: Mon 3:30–5:30PM, Wed 6–7PM · On-site: Tue/Thu 3:30–5:30PM, Wed 3:15–4:45PM, Fri 3:30–4:30PM

Preschool Program

RCPS offers a preschool program — contact the school division for enrollment details and availability.

School Nutrition

Free meals available for students. Apply online through the RCPS website. Special dietary needs accommodated.

Transportation
