Spirit of America: Radford Plans 250th Birthday Celebration at Bisset Park
Radford will host its "Spirit of America" Independence Day celebration at Bisset Park on July 3, 2026 — commemorating the nation's 250th birthday with live music, vendors, inflatables, and fireworks from 4–10 PM.
The City of Radford has announced its annual "Spirit of America" Independence Day celebration will take place at Bisset Park on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
This year's event will also commemorate the 250th birthday of the United States. Activities include live musical performances, inflatable attractions, food and craft vendors, and a fireworks display to close the evening.

The city is also participating in the broader Virginia American Revolution 250 (VA250) commemoration, which includes educational activities like a "250 Trivia Night" held on May 13.
