Radford seeks community input on allocating $160K+ in federal CDBG funding, with 70% required to benefit low-to-moderate income residents.
Radford city officials are seeking community input on allocating over $160,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The first of two public input meetings occurred Tuesday afternoon, where residents shared suggestions for using the funds. At least 70% of the grant must benefit Radford's low to moderate-income residents. Recent allocations focused on infrastructure improvements like water damage prevention and sidewalk access. Melissa Skelton, Radford Director of Planning and Zoning, emphasized the importance of resident input.
