Radford City Schools launches new screen time initiative "Powered by Purpose"

Radford City Schools is implementing a division-wide procedure focusing on how screens are used in classrooms, separating active screen time (collaboration, coding, critical thinking) from passive screen time (games, idle use). Superintendent Dr. Adam Joyce said the goal is to have kids engaged from bell to bell. Teachers are given authority to design developmentally appropriate guidelines for their classrooms.
