Radford City Council to discuss budget challenges, forensic audit

The City of Radford has been facing financial challenges for years, and now City leaders hope an outside set of eyes might be able to help fix that. City Council planned to discuss a forensic audit service provided by Brown, Edmonds & Company, L.L.P. The outside accounting firm will look at the City's financial records from June 2020 to June 2025. The team will be looking at more than two dozen expenditures including electric, utility, real estate tax revenue, city payroll and more. The firm intends to have the work completed at the end of August.
