Local school divisions offer free summer meals for families

Radford City Schools is participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program for the summer of 2026 to ensure students who rely on school-provided food continue to have access to meals during the break. Locations include Belle Heth Elementary and Radford High School. The program is scheduled to run in June 2026. Lisa Thomas of Radford City Schools noted: "A lot of students only get a meal when they are here at school. So when we are out for the summer, it is important to Radford City Schools that we make food available for the students."
