Juvenile in custody after shooting that left one dead in Radford

A juvenile suspect was taken into custody after Radford City Police Department officers found one person deceased with a gunshot wound. At 2:35 a.m. Saturday morning, September 13, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Downey St. in Radford. Officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound; the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile suspect was apprehended and charged with second-degree murder, possession of a handgun by a person under 18, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
