Former Radford students come forward with sexual assault allegations

Two more women allege sexual assault at Radford University, bringing total WDBJ7 cases to four; all cite frustration with Title IX process length and outcomes.

Two more women have come forward saying they were sexually assaulted while attending Radford University, bringing the total number of cases reported by WDBJ7 to four. All of the women say they experienced frustration with the length and difficulty of the university's Title IX and Student Conduct process. The third Jane Doe graduated from Radford this spring and says a male student sexually assaulted her while she was drunk at an off-campus apartment in 2021. Her alleged assailant was suspended for a little over a year. A fourth Jane Doe says a former friend attempted to sexually assault her in his dorm room and that she was later physically attacked by his friends. She has not received the outcome of her Title IX report. Radford University has launched a presidential task force to examine its Title IX and Student Conduct policies and recommend improvements.
